The UPG National Gas Station Chain Refutes the Information Published by the Online Media OBOZREVATEL (upgrated)
upd: As of January 11, 2023, the company “UKRPALETSYSTEM”, operating the UPG gas station chain, sent “ZOLOTA SEREDYNA” LLC (information resource obozrevatel.com) a demand to refute the inaccurate information published by it.
On January 6, the web-based media obozrevatel.com placed a publication accusing the UPG gas station chain of having ties with sanctioned persons, citizens of the Republic of Belarus, namely: the Belarusian oligarch M. Vorobey, and the eldest son of the dictator O. Lukashenko, Viktor. We emphasize that the UPG chain has never had any relation to the above-mentioned persons.
We categorically and with full responsibility declare that this information is untrue and designed to discredit the UPG brand. It is an element of fierce competition, which we consider a “black” PR-tool aimed at harming the company’s reputation.
We are extremely sorry that some Ukrainian mass media spread this knowingly false information, having no evidence but only with reference to the original source, namely the online publication of obozrevatel.com.
!!! It is worth mentioning
From the first days of the full-scale war, UPG has immediately ceased buying Belarusian fuel.
In addition, since the beginning of the aggression of the russian federation back in 2014 and the occupation of the Republic of Crimea and certain territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the company has neither purchased, nor sold any single ton of russian oil products.
The company’s principal position is not to cooperate with the aggressor country.
